Efren Reyes brought Mike Sigel's comeback to an abrupt stop.

Efren Reyes ended the single event come-back of Mike Sigel by the score 150-54 today as the top players continued falling like dominoes at the US Open Straight Pool Championships. Mike finished tied for 17th and will earn $500 for the event.

Meanwhile, on the women's side, it is still the Allison Fisher story as Allison recovered very nicely from her near defeat at the hands of Aileen Pippen to hammer defending champion Shin-Mei Lu 100-7. Allison will play the winner of the match between Jennifer Chen and Vivian Villarreal in the next round. This has the possiblity of setting up a rematch of the recent Amway Cup 9-Ball tournament where Jennifer Chen beat Allison 11-10.

Defending Champion Shin-Mei Lu found herself able to do nothing more than sit while Allison Fisher ran ball after ball.

Matches still being played at this time include Oliver Ortmann vs Allen Hopkins as well as Tournament Favorite George San Souci vs Dallas West.
