Local New York favorite, George San Souci was the latest marquee player to be eliminated at the US Open Straight Pool Championships. He lost his match to Dallas West by the score of 150-101.

In other action, "King" James Rempe moved to the one loss side after losing to Thomas Engert 150-103. Rempe left the table leading the match 103-53 but did not get another chance as Engert ran 97 and out. Rempe will play Oliver Ortmann who defeated Allen Hopkins 150-54.
