BCA Members Select Retailer and Proprietor Board RepresentativesRosendaul & Brownstein Elected to Billiard Congress of America Board of DirectorsMr. Michael Brownstein of Recreation World and Mr. Matt Rosendaul of Billiards Playground have been elected to the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Board of Directors as the retail and proprietor representatives, respectively. Fellow BCA retail and proprietor business members cast their ballots, which were due into the BCA office on July 6, 2001. Both gentlemen will become members of the BCA Board on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 and serve a two-year term. Mr. Brownstein is a graduate of Boston University with a degree in business management. He has been a retailer of pool tables for more than 25 years and has built his store, Recreation World (Natick, MA) into one of the largest billiard stores in the United States. Over the years, he has been asked to consult with several billiard manufacturers and retailers. His primary goal as a BCA Board Member will be to give retailers a greater voice in BCA matters. Mr. Rosendaul became the manager of Billiards Playground (Kalamazoo, MI) in 1992. After managing the 24-table room for five years, he purchased the room from the previous owner. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Mr. Rosendaul puts his business degree to use not only as a room proprietor, but also as the tournament promoter for the US Open One Pocket Tournament held annually at his facility. Mr. Rosendaul is a former BCA Board of Directors member, the current chairman of the BCA Instructors Committee and a BCA Recognized Instructor. BCA Retailer and Proprietor business members are also represented by Retail Representative, Mr. Tony Stick of The Billiard Factory (Houston, TX) and Proprietor Representative, Mr. Larry Cooper of Barley’s Billiards (Atlanta, GA). Terms for Mr. Stick and Mr. Cooper expire in July 2002. |
