Pooch’s Easy Street Hosts “Billiards for America Day”

Industry-wide effort to support victims of the attack on America

Billiard rooms and billiard league operators throughout North America are hosting fund-raising events on Saturday, November 10th to assist the victims of the attack on America. This event is coordinated by The Billiard Congress of America with participation from the American Pool Players Association (APA), and the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA). All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross, The New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund, The United Way, and The Salvation Army.

Pooch’s Easy Street, located on the corner of Elliot and Priest, will be hosting an all-day pool tournament for anyone interested in donating to this effort and playing a little pool at the same time. Everyone is welcome…whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran of the game, we’re here to have fun and help out our fellow Americans.

Tournament play will begin at 10 a.m. and will be double elimination, 8-ball format with a race to two. Winner of the tournament will have all proceeds collected donated in THEIR name and receive a certificate of patriotism. In addition, participants will receive a free t-shirt.

Various individuals and organizations throughout the Valley have donated several door prizes for this event. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
