This past weekend (November 1st and 2nd) fifty-seven players made their way out to the latest bar table open stop of the Midwest 9-Ball Tour at Magoo's Billiards in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thirteen women total entered themselves into the ladies only division. The two events combined offered $2500 added to the players and many of the top names we have recently heard quite a lot about continued to compete with fury.
The women ended up coming down to Rhonda Pierce and Ginny Keeler for the hot-seat match – Pierce took full advantage of that set with a 7-3 win to wait it out in the finals. On the one-loss side, Brittany Colbert pushed her way to the semis to meet up with Keeler only to end her weekend in third place 7-1. In the finals, Pierce didn't give Keeler much of an opportunity to get going as she shut her out 7-2 for the victory.

Shane McMinn always seems to end up on top giving everyone a tough run for the money – this weekend in the open division was no different. McMinn secured the hot-seat on the winner's side of the brackets over Joey Gray pretty handily 9-3, while Gray waited for an opponent in the semis - that individual would be Chip Compton. Unfortunately for Compton, Gray played strong and stopped him in his tracks 9-4.
The finals would prove to be more of a tester for Gray and he and McMinn ended up in a very close first set. Gray squeezed past McMinn 9-8 to propel him into the second set of the true double elimination finals. But the final set of the weekend did not go as smoothly for Gray – McMinn finished up the race 9-4 to be the headliner on Sunday.
