I would like to start my article this month by congratulating all of the Arizona teams and singles players that participated in the 22nd Annual BCA North American 8-Ball Championship Tournament. Special congratulations go out to the Men's Masters team from Tommy's Billiards for a great second place finish in the Master's Division and to Angel Paglia for her second place finish in the Women's Open Division, both an outstanding accomplishment. Now let's take a look at this great trick shot. I have described the set up for a 9 foot table. This trick shot works best on a 9 foot table. If you try this shot on a 7 foot bar size table, you will have to make some major adjustments when you rack the full set of balls to begin setting up this show. This trick shot is called The Behind The Wall Shot. You start out with a full rack of balls racked on the foot spot. Remove the head ball which is the ball on the foot spot. You now move all five balls in the back row two balls distance away from the fourth row of balls as shown. Now position the Blue Ball as shown. The head ball that was on the foot spot becomes the Green Ball. Aim the Green Ball along the dotted line. Position the cue ball as shown. Now that you have the shot set up, you will see that the Red Ball is obstructing the Green Ball from going into the corner pocket. Hit the cue ball center with a hard stroke into the Yellow Ball which will disturb the line of balls and move the Red Ball out of the way. The Yellow Ball will hit the Blue Ball and force the Green Ball into the corner pocket. If you master this trick shot you will definitely amaze your frieds when you perform this shot for them.
