Many of you in the United States will be unfamiliar with the
sport of snooker or may have played an American version of it,
though here on AZBilliards.com I would like to give you the
opportunity to learn a great deal about the version played
around the world and increase your enthusiasm for it.
Snooker certainly has come a long way since its development
in 1875 by British Officers serving in India, to today's
huge worldwide popularity and multimillion dollar professional
world tour.
I will cover subjects on all aspects in snooker today,
from the rules and the history of the sport to news, results and
features from the United States and around the world.
Also, wherever you are please do not hesitate to e-mail
me with your thoughts and questions concerning snooker, and
what you would like to see here especially if you live
in the United States, and have access to a snooker table as
it would be great to know where you play at, or if you would
like to know more about this great sport and would like to
