THE INTERNATIONAL BILLIARDS
& SNOOKER FEDERATION

The International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) is the organization that governs non-professional snooker and English billiards around the world.

The IBSF has more than seventy affiliated countries, of which the United States is one, and further applications from countries have been filed with the organization. In its capacity the IBSF reaches into every nook and cranny of the snooker playing world, as well as providing invaluable support to English billiards.

The IBSF is sponsored by 110 Sport (formerly known as TSN), and together they have established the new IBSF website which forms part of 110 Sport's and the IBSF's intention of providing in depth coverage of worldwide snooker from the grass roots upwards, thereby increasing awareness and participation in cue sports globally.

The IBSF's premier snooker event is the IBSF World Championship which is held annually in one of the member nations, with the 2001 Championship due to be staged in the Egyptian capital of Cairo from October 18 - November 2.
