Nick Varner won a hard fought match against Dennis Hatch.

In the match of the night so far, Nick Varner came back from being down 6-2 and 7-3 to the Hatchet Man, Dennis Hatch, to win 11-8 and move on to the second round. Varner got a couple rolls in the match but he got out when he had to, down the stretch to score the victory. In other action this round, Shannon Daulton defeated Steve McAninch 11-4 and Rafael Martinez survived an early scare and defeated Aaron Salinas from Houston Texas 11-10. The next round has Mika Immonen, Francisco Bustamante, David Howard and Luc Salvas all in action.
