Morris to face Archer in Valley Forge finals

The Brunswick Pro Players Championship in Valley Forge PA is now down to two players.

Rodney Morris will face Johnny Archer in the finals. This will be a rematch of their hill-hill battle for the hot seat that saw Morris edge out Archer.

Archer has had larger victory margins all weekend, not allowing an opponent to score more than five games against him all week. Morris, on the other hand, has survived three 10-8 matches to get this far.

The final match will take place after the completion of the finals in the Ladies Pro Players Championship, which will most likely be a match between Karen Corr and Helena Thornfeldt. Corr defeated Thornfeldt 6-3 and 6-3 when they matched up earlier in the round-robin event. Corr's only loss was one set to Belinda Campos. Thornfeldt has dropped the two sets to Corr, as well as one set to Campos and one set to Gerda Hofstatter.
