2015 U.S. Open Dates and Venue Announced

"It is my pleasure to officially announce that the 40th anniversary, 2015 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships will be conducted at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel. There are 468 beautiful rooms of which we have a block of 375 rooms for only $89.00 per night. Half of the rooms have a balcony for those who are smokers.

The tournament room is 13,000 square feet and that is double the size of our room the past two years. The Sheraton has been kind enough to also provide for us a players practice room and lounge in the form of their Riverwalk Ballroom, a 4,000 square foot beauty where the players will be able to relax and practice. Conveniently, this ballroom is located right next to the Bar and Restaurant area.

We wish to thank Mr. Chris Russell, Sales Manager, and the entire staff of the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside. Mr. Russell told me he has wanted the Open for years and now he has it for this year and years to come. The Sheraton management realizes the value of the U.S. Open and I cannot say just how much that means, especially to myself, to finally have a partner that values our relationship."

You can check out the new location and see a nice selection of photos of the facilities at: http://www.sheratonnorfolkwaterside.com/. The hotel is convenient to both Norfolk and Q-Masters Poolroom. In fact, it only takes 9 minutes using the Interstate to get off only 3 blocks from the pool room. The Sheraton has also agreed to low pricing for food and beverage and will provide a nightly all-inclusive dinner buffet for $15.

For his part, the aforementioned Mr. Russell says: “The Sheraton Norfolk Waterside is honored and privileged to host such an historic event in Norfolk, VA, where the U.S. Open began 40 years ago with just 16 players. We are thrilled that it has grown into the tremendous event it has become today.”
