2016 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships

Don't Wait Too Long!

With four months to go, you would think that you have plenty of time to make arrangements for this year’s U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships.  Well, don’t think that way!

Last year, the tournament field was filled at 128 with a long waiting list.

Last year, the choice seating was sold out.

Last year, on some days, the hotel room reservations were completely booked.

Does that tell you anything?

This year’s event, in honor of the late Barry Behrman, may be the best U.S. Open ever.  Barry gave the reins to Pat Fleming of Accu-Stats and his job will be to live up to Barry Behrman’s dream.

Last year, 128 players competed, many from around the world.  Because of a long waiting list, the field has been increased to 160 players.  The $75,000 in added money qualifies it as a “Tier 2” event sanctioned by the WPA.  Over $200,000 in prize money is at stake with $50,000 going to the winner while paying down to 48th place which will pay $2,000.

From October 16-22, 2016, The Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel will be bending over backwards to accommodate us.  They loved the U.S. Open and want us back for years to come.  This wonderful host site is offering us extremely low room rates, especially for being in the heart of Norfolk.  The hotel staff, as well as the City of Norfolk, will do everything they can to make you feel welcome.

For tickets to the annual BCA Hall of Fame Banquet at the Sheraton, call Mike Panozzo at 312-341-1110 ext 2004.
