A monster field of 122 players showed up at Breakers Billiards in Mobile, Alabama on August 2nd for their semi annual open 9-ball event.

The event got underway on Friday with an eight man 10-ball ring game. Each player put up $2000 with Jonathan Hennessee earning $10,000 for first. Ronnie Wiseman took home $4000 for second and Scott Frost pocketed $2000 for third.

The main event player auction got off to a late start on Saturday, so play did not begin until after 5pm. That led to matches going all day and all night for the next forty eight hours.

The field was packed with top players including Jeremy Jones, Ronnie Wiseman, Charlie Bryant, Larry Nevel, Justin Bergman, Cliff Joyner, Scott Frost, Scotty Townsend and Jonathan Hennessee.

The winners side came down to Ronnie Wiseman and Gary Abood with Abood taking the hot seat.

Wiseman came back from the one loss side with a victory over Chad Vilmont and faced off against Abood in the double elimination finals.

Wiseman was able to win the first match, but Abood took control in the second match and earned the tournament win.

Abood pocketed $4000 for first place, while Wiseman settled for $2000 in second place prize money.
