Black Widow bites Corr in Uncasville semi-final

Jeanette broke and ran three racks

Jeanette Lee defeated Karen Corr 5-2 and 5-4 to earn a spot in the finals of the Ladies Tournament of Champions at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.

The key to the match was the break, where Lee broke and ran twice in the first set and once in the second set. Corr, on the other hand, did not have one break and run in either set.

While Lee dominated the first set, Corr looked like she might get a chance to force a sudden death game at 4-4 in the second set. Lee was left with a long tough 6-ball to get out of the rack. Lee, however, made the shot and went ahead to run out the final rack for the 5-4 win in the second set.

Lee will face the winner of the match between Allison Fisher and Helena Thornfeldt with the winner pocketing $25,000 in prize money.
