Charity Pool Tournament for Children’s Wish Foundation

On Saturday, November 27, 2004, Canadian Poolplayers Association (CPA) members gathered at The Rak Pak in Mississauga, ON to compete in a charity pool tournament fundraiser for the Children's Wish Foundation. The event was held in honour of our son, Nicholas James Morissette-Wong, who passed away at the age of 6, in November 2003, after battling cancer for 8 months. Nicholas was granted a wish by the Children's Wish Foundation, to have a family vacation at Disney World and meet his favorite Disney character - Donald Duck.

We want to thank all the participants, CPA League Operators and sponsors* who generously donated to the event, and through entry fees, 50/50 draw and open auction, helped raise nearly $2,500 to support this worthy organization, who grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Congratulation to our winners:

First Place - Walter Demchuk (Moose)
Second Place - Martin Yacobazzo
Third Place - Chris Kulisz

For those who wanted to join in this special event but couldn't make it, we thank you as well for your thoughts, kind words and individual contributions, and we hope to see you next year.

Regards, Manon & Garnet
