Michael Mallen Dominates the 4th Junior Billiards Tour Event

Michael Mallen, 14, from Port St. Lucie Florida breezed through the short field in the 4th Event of the Junior Billiards Tour. Hosted by The Orlando Billiard Center, five juniors braved the winds and rain to make the qualifier event. Mallen earns the 4th spot in the Diamond Ring Game Championships in August.

A warm-up for the upcoming Junior Nationals next week in Michigan, Mallen was in top form when he outlasted the field to win the 10 Ball Ring Game. Mallen went undefeated in the 9 Ball Top Gun defeating points leader Wayne Hutter in the winner?s bracket and then again in the finals for the Championship. Mallen received a $200 Nick Varner Cue for the Ring Game Win and a $100 Varner Case for the 9 Ball Win.

The double win puts Mallen 2nd in the points race with the Junior Nationals next week and one more Orlando event with double points to be played.
