Norris Brady
Norris Brady stormed undefeated through the field at The Sunday Break tournament at Paradise Billiards in Charlotte, NC. His victory came after winning a race to 8 games set against Mike Champagne that saw Champagne begin with a comfortable 4-0 lead only to have Brady regain strength and come on strong at the end to take the set and the tournament 8-6.
Brady and Champagne got to the finals on different roads. On the winner's side, Brady had slid by George Hayes 7-6 after stampeding Johnny Todd 7-3. On the left-hand side of the brackets Champagne bubbled over Hayes 5-4 to earn his seat in the finals after he had gotten by Johnny Todd by the same score, 5-4.
