Chuck Evans scores first Desert Classic Tour Win

The Desert Classic Tour held their BCA Warm Up Tour Stop over the weekend of March 19th and 20th with a field of 38 players playing 8-Ball on the 7' Diamond Smart Tables at Stingers in Phoenix.

In a field full of the usual Arizona All-Stars, it was two tour virgins fighting it out for the hot-seat. Neither "The Mailman" Chuck Evans or young gun Mike Sandoval had won a Desert Classic Tour stop, but the made their way through their sides of the chart to meet for the hot-seat. That match would go to Evans with a 6-2 win.

Sandoval bounced back to earn another shot at Evans in the finals with a 6-4 win over another Arizona young gun, Bobby Emmons.

Unfortunately for Sandoval, the second match with Evans was more of the same as Evans again scored a 6-2 win for his first Desert Classic Tour win.

Evans collected $840 for first, while Sandoval pocketed $525 for second place.

Tour points leader, Mitch Ellerman, lost to Evans on Saturday and Emmons on Sunday for a 5th place finish. That finish will be enough to remain in first place on the points list.
