Crosby Upsets Schmidt & Orcullo

Tony "The Sniper" Crosby of the USA took out #5 seed John Schmidt 9-3 and then played an exciting back and forth match against Dennis Orcullo and broke and ran the case game 9-8.

"I never knew Tony was capable of playing a set like that. He played a great match" said one local fan in Jacksonville. Crosby advances to the final 4 on the winners side and will face Johnny Archer in his next match.
 
Neil Fujiwara knocked out past US Open Champion David Howard 9-6 and then fell to Spain's Mark Vidal. Charlie Williams won a thriller 9-8 over young gun Ryan Stone while Thorsten Hohmann stayed alive with wins over junior champ Landon Shuffett and a 9-8 over Brandon Shuff. Johnny Archer took out Dominic Jentsch GER 9-5 and then took out The Korean Dragon Williams 9-3.
 
Matches continues today with the finals at 830pm. The Finals of the World Junior 10-Ball Championships are also scheduled in the pro arena at 5pm with the juniors playing next to the pros.

The Ozone Billiards US Amateur 9-Ball Open drew in over 120 amateur players vying for the 9-Ball titles during the Lucasi Classic Pro events. The 9-Ball division continues through Sunday along with over 30 juniors in the World Junior 10-Ball Championships and a full 48 man field in the Lucasi Hybrid Pro 10-Ball event . Over 200 players are participating in all the events.
