Litsa Mavridoglou and Nikos Ekonomopoulos
For the third consecutive year Greek National 9ball Championships were sanctioned by HPBU which officially represents Greek Pool at EPBF.
The finals were successfully held on 28/11 at Mikis Theodorakis theater, in collaboration with the municipality of Argyroupolis-Ellinikon in a Mosconi Cup setup style – a first for Greek Pool.
In women’s final Greek champion Litsa Mavridoglou won over Anthi Koptsi in a hill-hill match by 7-6.
After defeating George Antonakis and Antonis Kakaris respectively in men’s semifinals, title holder Nick Malaj and Nikos Ekonomopoulos played each other in the final.
The two famous Greek players battled against each other until Ekonomopoulos picked up the last frame to win the title by 9-6.
HPBU is constantly developing and more tournaments of this kind are to be expected in the future.
