Niels Feijen was once again crowned European Straight Pool Champion in Prague Monday Night, after a 125-63 win over German Thomas Engert.

Back to back wins over J.Vassalos (Germany), Roger Lysholm (Norway), Martin Kempter (Austria), Rene Daubner (Switzerland), Niclas Bergendorff (Sweden), Roman Hybler (Czech Republic) and Engert got him his third Straight Pool title, after winning in 2001 and 2002.

The field of 64 players included the likes of Thorsten Hohmann, Ralf Souquet, Mika Immonen, Nick van den Berg, Fabio Petroni and Tom Storm who were all eliminated earlier on. A dozen "125 and out" were noted during the tournament.

The 8-ball tournament is now running and in its quarter final stage. The 9-ball tournament will start on Monday and the team event (countries) will start Thursday.

The European Championships 2004 is being held in Prague, Czech Republic from 10 to 21 March.
