Feijen earns WTBC Third Place Finish

Niels Feijen

With an 11-8 win over Filipino newcomer Demosthenes Pulpul, Niels Feijen finished the World Ten Ball Championship in third place.

Feijen, an early favorite for most fans, dropped his semi-final matchup with Darren Appleton late Saturday night and had to settle for Sunday's playoff for third and fourth place.

Feijen's opponent, Pulpul, ended his run at first place with an 11-8 loss to Taipei's Chia-Ching Wu on Saturday.

Pulpul had the crowd's support on Sunday against Feijen, but that was not enough to hold off Feijen in the end.

Feijen pocketed $25,000 for third place, with Pulpul settling for $15,000.

With that match complete, the stage is set for the showdown between Wu and Appleton for first place and $100,000 in prize money.
