Felt Billiards in Commack, NY has announced their new Handicap Weekly Tour on Saturday afternoons. Tables are available for practice at 12:30 Saturday afternoon, players meeting at 1:30 and play begins at 1:45.
The single elimination event is limited to 64 players and is played under APA rules on the 7 foot Dynamo Bar Tables. All players are handicapped based on a 2-10 skill level system. No pros are allowed in the field.
Of the $25 entry, $20 goes to the prize fund and $5 goes to a greens fee for the room. Players are invited to participate in the player auction at each event.
3 players will be named as the top players based on the weekly events, and the following prizes will be given to those players...
1st: Custom Cue from Sponsor Mario Caras (Mcues), trophy and paid entry to 2010 Valley Forge Amateur National 9-Ball Championship.
2nd: Trophy and paid entry to 2010 Valley Forge Amateur National 9-Ball Championship.
3rd: Trophy
A trophy will also be awarded to the most improved player.
The weekly event will take place for the next 47 weeks and a player must play in 16 of those events in order to qualify for the Tour Championship in December.
The Tour Championship will be double elimination with a $40 entry fee and $1000 in added prize money.
