As Friday play at the 2005 Carolinas Open winds down, the winners side has been narrowed down to just 16 players. None of those players faced tighter matches on Friday than 'The Freezer' Scott Frost.
After a hill-hill win over one pocket runner up Mike Serber, Frost again went to hill-hill before defeating Santos Sambajon on Friday night. Frost will take on David Baranski on Saturday.
Other winners side matches on Saturday include Warren Kiamco vs Jose Parica, Mike Davis vs Gabe Owen and Jason Kirkwood vs Nick Varner.
On the one loss side, Shannon Daulton ended Friday play with a win over Teddy Garrahan. Things won't get any easier on Saturday when Daulton takes on Sambajon. Other top players fighting it out on the left side of the board include Ronnie Wiseman, Wade Crane, Earl Strickland and Jeremy Jones.
