Play at the 28th Annual US Open 9-Ball Championship has resumed with matches being scheduled around the players who are in attendance.

Afternoon matches were on the one-loss side with players advancing including Howard Vickery, Eric Durbin, Mark Gregory, Max Eberle, Buddy Hall, Larry Nevel, Richie Richeson, Shawn Putnam, Danny Basavich, Tony Chohan, Eddie Galati, Rodolfo Luat and Ryan McCreesh.

Top players eliminated in the Wednesday afternoon matches included Mika Immonen, Marcus Chamat and Ronnie Wiseman.

Chamat lost a close match to Buddy Hall. The match went back and forth until it was 8-8 and Hall won the last three games for the victory. Another close match happened between Chris McDonald and Mika Immonen. McDonald jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held that lead for most of the match as Immonen struggled with his game. The tables turned late in the match when McDonald was unable to put anything together and Immonen came back for the 10-10 tie before McDonald scored the case game and the 11-10 win.

Evening matches are scheduled for 6:00, 8:00, 10:00 and 12:00 on Friday night with action on both the winners and losers side of the brackets.
