Heather Pulford wins again in the Alamo city

Heather Pulford and Mollie Pearl

Twenty-one ladies showed in San Antonio in a chase for the gold at the eighth stop of the Fast Eddie's Olhausen 9 Ball Tour at the Fast Eddie's World Class Billiards - Embassy Oaks location and August 14th.

The chase for 'Player of the Year' is tightening up, as top picks of the field were Amanda Lampert, Heather Pulford, Jennifer Kraber, Kyu Yi, Kawania Watson and Kim Pierce. Welcome, also, to the Tour, newcomers: Pamela Streans, Terry Petrosino and Michele Nelson.

Jumping into the 5-6th positions were Terry Petrosino of Houston and Michelle Abernathy. Both ladies raised a few eyebrows with their fine play.

Kim Pierce of Bastrop is always a fierce competitor and it showed as she finished in a very respectable 4th place.

San Antonio's own Kawania Watson, 2005 BCA Ladies Singles Champ, showed the talent that won the Nationals with a great 3rd place finish.

Mollie Pearl, a San Antonio transplant from up north, had a great tournament with victories over Sophie Lopez, Terry Petrosino, and Michelle Abernathy before succumbing to Heather Pulford for the hot seat.

Heather Pulford of Austin raced to the hot seat with triumphs over Amanda Lampert, Jennifer Kraber, Kawania Watson and Mollie.

After her loss to Heather in the finals of the winner's bracket, Mollie defeated Kawania for the chance to meet Heather, again, in the final match.

The final match looked like a run away for Heather who led 5-1 in a race to seven. Mollie buckled down and tied the score at six all only to have Heather win the case game and another Tour victory. Congratulations to both ladies for putting on an exciting finish through great play and sportsladyship!

A special thanks to our sponsors, Olhausen Billiards and Schuler Legacy Cues. We can't imagine life without them.

Thanks to Tino Lopez of Teodora's Mini-Tacos. Another quiet man, but a champion!
