Jeremy Jones hosts pool clinic at JR Pockets

Jeremy Jones and students

Twenty-four local league players filled openings to participate in a pool clinic instructed by professionally titled poolplayer, Jeremy Jones, and held at J.R. Pockets Sports Bar and Grill in Denton, TX. Complete proceeds and entries for each player were donated to the Denton Battered Women's Shelter. The five hour event split the group rotating between two sessions of one-on-one time with Jeremy and Grand Master level player, James Davis, Jr. The second rotation built three player groups competing at a bowling billiards game. The pool clinic was intended to build skills and confidence, but also to promote a day of fun between local league players.

Prizes were awarded to the top five places in the bowling event and the top three women finishers. Each player received a gift bag to take home. Jeremy would like to thank the owners of J.R. Pockets, Nona and Richard Bryan, for partnering with him to host this event. He would also like to thank the following sponsors for their donations: The Billiard Factory of Lewisville, TX; University Lanes, Denton, TX; Miguelito's Mexican Restaurant, Denton, TX; Heritage Car Wash, Denton, TX; John Sardino at The Cupboard, Denton, TX; Cue and Case, Jacksonville, FL; Nick Varner Cues and Cases, Owensboro, KY.
