Jerry Tarantola “Grinds” out his first Raxx Tuesday night Open victory

The word is definetly getting out about the weekly Tuesday night Open tournament at Raxx Pool Room in West Hempstead as this weeks list of players included such names as Sean "Alaska" Morgan, Oscar Bonilla, Bobby Blackmore, Anthony Pizaro, Jerry Tarantola, and even recent second place finisher in the Turning Stone Classic X, Jeremy "The Giant Killer" Sossei made the trip from Connecticut to play in this week's open event.

In the end however it was not "The Giant Killer" Jeremy Sossei that would walk away with the tournament victory. Instead it would be NYCGrind's own Jerry Tarantola who would slay the dragon Sossei 4-2 to move into the finals against Pete Tascarella Sr. Pete Sr. defeated Jerry T, earlier in the tournament to take the hotseat by a score of 5-2 but Jerry would not settle for second place as he would grind out a 7-4 victory against Pete Sr. to win his first Tuesday night open event. Congratulations! and Nice shooting!
