McCready holds off Hewitt for Joss Tour Win

Golden Cue Owner Rocco Spinelli with the two finalists, Danny Hewitt and Keith McCreedy

Keith McCready bounced back from a loss to Danny Hewitt to earn the win in this weekend's Joss NE 9-Ball Tour stop at Golden Cue Billiards in Albany, NY.

McCready started the day with a 9-5 win over Hewitt, and then took the hot-seat with an identical 9-5 win over Ryan McCreesh.

On the one-loss side, McCreesh was handed another 9-5 loss, this time at the hands of Hewitt.

The first set of the true double elimination finals was completely one-sided with Hewitt cruising to a 9-3 win over McCready. The second set was a complete turnaround for McCready as he took an early 7-4 lead and help off a late charge from Hewitt to win the match 9-7.

McCready earned $1620 for first, while Hewitt settled for $1200. McCreesh and Tony Ruberto filled out the top four spots.

The top six players (McReady, Hewitt, McCreesh, Ruberto, Mike Zuglan and Frankie Hernandez) all qualified for the New Unified Tour System's Skins Game qualifier. Also qualifying were Charlie Fowler and Tim Parisian who were randomly drawn as wild cards.
