Memorial raises money for Dillman family

On Sunday April, 19th players gathered at Brown's Billiards of Raleigh to have fun, play pool, and remember a fellow shooter taken before his time.  The Brad Dillman Memorial Scotch Doubles Tournament drew 36 teams of two and raised more than $2,000 for the Dillman family.

Brad was an avid player and had been an active member of the APA since 1999, playing on a number of teams and making many friends.  Photos of Brad were placed along the shelves at Brown's where friends could see him as he would have wanted to be remembered; enjoying the sport he so loved.

The tournament had originally been advertised as a benefit event to raise money to help with medical bills.  Unfortunately, Brad lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on April 6, 2009, transforming the event into a memorial.  He is survived by his wife Kristie and his newborn son Bradley Jr.  All our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time.  We know in our hearts that Brad is in the big upstairs pool room shooting the lights out even now.
