RUDOLF WANDERONE “Minnesota Fats”
FATS LIVES in Dowell, Ill. and comes from Brooklyn, N.Y. Asked why he’s called “Minnesota Fats,” he says it’s simple.
“I spent my life traveling from one place to another, never there more than two days. Once I met a girl in Minneapolis, and I stayed a whole week, just sort of foolin’ around, and some hustlers saw me and said, ‘Are you still here?’ Naturally, I’ve been ‘Minnesota Fats’ ever since.”
