Nate “Okinawa Slim” Bryant Appointed as Billiards Chairman for Georgia State Games

Atlanta, GA – July 05, 2007 – Nate “Okinawa Slim” Bryant (www.atlantatrickshots.com) is pleased to announce that he has been appointed as the Billiards Chairman for the Georgia State games which begins July 12-22. The Billiards competition will take place July 14-15 at The Pool Room, in Duluth, GA. Three categories of players will be featured: Juniors, Adults, and Seniors.

“This is history in the making!” says Nate “Okinawa Slim” Bryant. “This is the first time that Billiards has been featured in the 17 year history of the Georgia State Games.

In addition to serving as the Billiards Chairman, Nate “Okinawa Slim” Bryant is a professional pool player and the top African American trick shot artist in the world. He currently serves as the President of the World Pool and Billiards Association's Artistic Pool Division. He is also world renowned for his charitable works including supporting the Boys and Girls Club providing an annual proclamation for billiard awareness month and working with other charitable organizations.

The Georgia Games are modeled in the spirit of the Olympics, and provide Georgia's amateur athletes of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete in this open invitation, grassroots-style sports festival. The Georgia Games is affiliated with the Georgia Sports Foundation, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting physical fitness and targeting child obesity, and was founded in 1990 to prepare for the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta.

The Georgia Games Championships will take place July 12-22 at various locations surrounding the Atlanta area and will feature more than 40 different sporting events.
