Fisher defeated WPBA #1 player Karen Corr in the finals
The World Pool Association site is reporting that Allison Fisher has defeated Karen Corr 11-8 to win the World 9-Ball Championship. This is Fisher's first win of this title since 1998 and her fourth time to hold the title overall. This is the second year in a row that Corr has lost in the finals. She has not yet held the title in her career.
