Cossette Claims Carolina Classic

Lisa Cosette
If you haven’t had the pleasure of what is the 150 n Out experience, make plans today to visit the huge, spacious, 9’ table filled pool room located in Mooresville, NC.  Owner, Janice Toth, and her staff were more than accommodating in hosting the 2nd Tiger SMART tour stop, the Carolina 9-Ball Classic.  Not only were the conditions pristine but the players were also treated to a special visit from BCA Hall of Famer, Mike Sigel.

Format for the event was race to seven, single round robin.  Going in to the last round, the match between Cheryl Pritchard and Belinda Calhoun would determine the winner and second place.  Pritchard was undefeated going into the last round. If she wins this final match, she finishes with a perfect 5-0 record. Calhoun had one loss and would need to hold Cheryl to three games to win the event.  Anxiously awaiting the outcome of this final match was Lisa Cossette who had already finished with a 4-1 match record.  Pritchard played brilliantly and pulled to a 5-4 lead only to miss a 4 ball in the ensuing rack which led to a 5-7 defeat.  Lisa Cossette won the title, $400, beautiful trophy, autographed event poster, and a one year subscription to Pool and Billiard e-zine.

Tiger SMART would like to thank Tiger Products, Inc. for their support as tour title sponsor and Aramith, the official ball sponsor.  Billiards Digest donated a one year subscription which was won by Rebecca Lindsay of Mooresville.

Tiger SMART members are looking forward to coming back to this marvelous venue September 6-7, 2013.  Come join us!
