Coming up in July are two much anticipated events. First, the best of women's billiards will be showcased at Carom Cafe from July 14 to July 16.
The current world's champion (Natsumi Higashiuchi), a former world champ (Orie Hida) and perhaps the best player in the world today (Therese Klompenhouwer) are scheduled to play along with US Players Mercedes Gonzales and Ester Park.
Then, the very best players from Europe arrive for the Verhoeven Open Tournament from July 17 to 21. Scheduled to play include Torbjörn Blomdahl, Frédéric Caudron, Eddie Merckx, Eddie Leppens, Semih Sayginer, Roland Forthhomme and many others. The USBA contingent from the Pan-American Championship will all be there along with many more top US players eager for the chance to play against some of the strongest in the world.
The Carom Cafe perennial event will have one more addition to its International flare. Kozoom, the premier organization supporting three cushion billiards worldwide will be sending its professional video production team to livesteam and record key matches at the event. Members of the Kozoom web site will be able to watch the games online as they take place, and replay the videos any time.
