Impson earns NWPA repeat

The Northwest Women's Pool Association was at McQ's in Spokane Washington for their June tour stop and with Hsin Huang away in Taiwan, the rest of the ladies on tour were more than willing to step to the plate to earn a trip to the winners circle.

Last month's winner Kerry Impson looked to be the tournament front runner, until a loss to Martha Hartsell in the match for the hot-seat. Impson was forced to take a detour to the one-loss side where she faced Cindy Doty. Doty had the lead early, but Impson fought back to tie the match at hill-hill. Doty looked to have won the final game, but a miss on the 9-ball allowed Impson to steal the win.

If the match between Impson and Doty was close, the final match between Impson and Hartsell was more of the same. Both players went back and forth with neither able to gain much of a lead. The players fought to a 7-7 tie, before Impson went ahead and won the last two games for the 9-7 victory.

Impson earned $365 for the victory.

The NWPA will be at Jillians on Lake Union in Seattle, WA for their next event on July 17th - 18th.
