Moore Wins Tidewater Q-Masters Stop

As Charley went from a hurricane that devastated Florida to a tropical storm, players were as busy inside as the winds were outside for the Fury Tidewater Amateur 9-Ball Tour Stop #5 at Q Masters in Virginia Beach, Va. With 35 players and Tropical Storm Charley whipping it up outside, Eric Moore whipped his way through the field to take the events first place prize.

While Eric Moore and Dave Bollman were working their way through the winners bracket, Paul Genovese was playing through the losers bracket in hopes of making it to the finals. His hopes were high when he had a 5-2 victory over Bill Mason, leaving Bill in 4th place.

In the hot seat match, Eric Moore played against Dave Bollman. Eric took control of the match and sent Bollman to the losers side for his first loss at 7-4. Bollman got a 3-1 lead over Genovese in the semi finals match to decide 3rd place. Genovese had been playing strong but Bollman was determined to face Moore again and place Genovese out of the tournament.

The final match left Bollman trailing against Moore when he jumped out to a 2-0 lead. With Moore still playing strong Bollman was only able to get 3 racks in this race to 9 final. Game, match, tournament. Moore wins 9-3!!!
