Daulton closes out BCA National Championships With Bank Pool Win

Shannon Daulton stormed back from a first round loss to win the Open Bank Pool Event that closed down the BCA National 9-Ball Championships.

Daulton dropped a 5-2 decision to Ronnie Allen in the first round, but came back with wins over Chris Bradford, Terry Osborne, Ike Runnels, Larry Carter, Neal Jacobs, Al Lawrence, Bob Herchik and Tommy Dilorenzo to get to the finals. Daulton's total match record during that run was 35 wins and 7 losses.

Marco Marquez took the short route to the finals, but couldn't get by Daulton in the finals as Daulton cruised to a 6-1 win for first place.

Daulton earned $2,300 for first place, while Marquez settled for $1,400 in second place prize money. Dilorenzo and Herchik filled out the top four spots.

Earlier in the day on Sunday, Jerry's team from Las Vegas completed an undefeated run through the Men's Team Division. The team, made up of Jerry Sceusa, Lyn Wechsler, Ralpf Ferguson and Phil Karpinksi split the $2,800 first prize. Greenfield's team from Lakewood Colorado finished in second and earned $1,700 in prize money.
