Players Brawl This Weekend in New York

The highly anticipated “Players Brawl” is under a week away. Scheduled for January 19th, at The Spot in Nanuet, NY. This event will see the stars of Professional Pool team up with stars from Mixed Martial Arts to raise money for The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
 
 
The list of MMA fighters is just as impressive with Mark Matthews, Dianna Karavas, Andre “The Bull” Harrison, Chrissy “The Doll” Yandolli, Kerry Stellar, Oluwale “Holy War Angel” Bamgbose, “Killer” Kelly Boyle, John “Manimal” Beneduce, Dennis “The Great” Bazukja, Liam McGeary, Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez, Frankie Perez, Tommy “Terrorheat” English, Eugene Perez, Kastriot “Team Slaughterhouse” Xhema, Lyman Good, Timothy Herbert and Ryan Hardy “Hardy Boy” Evans all committed to appear. 
 
The Scotch Doubles event will pair a pro pool player with a random MMA fighter and will get underway at 1pm on Sunday. 
 
In addition to the Doubles event, Andy Segal will take on Jamey Gray in a Trick Shot Challenge match and later in the evening, Earl Strickland will team with Kevin Ross to face Mika Immonen and Mickey Gall in the Main Event of the day. 
 
In addition to the top pro players, other members of the pool scene are getting behind this event with Tony Robles volunteering at Tournament Directory and Master of Ceremonies. Upstate Al is providing streaming coverage, John Leyman is the official event referee and Erwin Dionisio will be capturing all of the festivities in photo form. The MMA world’s Jennifer Gorski will be the Official Round Card Girl. In addition to The Spot hosting this event, The New City Billiards Cafe has been providing free table time to any participants (Pool or MMA) who are looking for a place to get their 9-ball game in shape.
