The Planet Pool Tour was in action at Breaktime Sports Grill & Pub in Salisbury, MD last weekend for a combination 9-ball and 8-ball event.
The open 9-ball division saw Jerry Slivka drop a match to Mike Davis 9-3 late on Sunday, but come back with wins over Lee Holt and then Davis to take first place. Davis' 2nd place finish was still enough to earn him the lead on the 9-ball tour points list.
Slivka earned $1000, while Davis settled for $600. Holt and Alvin Thomas filled out the top four. It was Alvin's highest finish on your yet.
The Women's 9-Ball division was all about Ellen Yu as she went undefeated with a 7-4 win over Amanda Pasko for the hot-seat and then a 9-3 win over Malea Haacke in the finals.
Yu won $380 for first, and Haacke won $250 for second. Pasko and points leader Kathy Friend filled out the top four spots.
In the open 8-Ball division, Ed Deska defeated Larry Averman 5-1 for the hot-seat and then defeated Averman again 7-4 in the finals.
First place was worth $350 for Deska, while Averman earned $230 for second. Danny Bell and points leader David Hunt filled out the top four spots.
The Women's 8-Ball division saw Cheree Adams earn her first tour win. Adams lost her first match of the event, but came back through the one-loss side and won 5 straight matches for the tournament win.
Adams pocketed $130 and Kathleen Lawless took home $85 for second. Wendy Safford finished in third.
The Planet Pool Tour will be at Hagerstown Billiards & Cafe in Hagerstown, MD on April 30th-May 1st for a $2,000 added 9-Ball event.
