Chad Lund Tops All American Tour Carom Room Stop

The twenty-second stop of the 2005/2006 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) featured a $500-added purse and thirty-five players hosted by owner David Coles at The Carom Room in Beloit, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 22. The event featured double-elimination 9-ball on bar boxes, and Chad Lund of Madison, Wisconsin, sailed undefeated through the field. In the hot-seat match, Lund - rated a '5' on a regional handicap system used - dominated Dave Coles (Beloit, WI), rated a '6', 5-1. In the loser's bracket finals, Coles [6] recovered to eliminate Ken Harvell [4] (Broadhead, WI) 6-3. The title match ended in dynamic fashion, as Lund raced to his goal of five first to defeat Dave Coles [6] 5-5 for the championship.

By virtue of being the highest-finishing ACS member, Bob Shepard qualified for a free entry into the 2006 ACS National 8-Ball Championships - courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors McDermott Handcrafted Cues, Silver Cup Chalk, PJ's Billiard Supply Co. and Samm's Side Pocket Productions for their support in donating "Value-In-Kind" product for this and all stops on the McDermott All American Tour.
