The Great Southern Billiard Tour was in action over the weekend at Randolph's Billiards in Hickory, NC with a field of 47 players including such heavy hitters as Nick Varner, Earl Strickland, Shannon Daulton, Larry Nevel, Brian White, Sparky Ferrel, Ronny Park, Tony Watson, Sam Monday, The Pendley Brothers, and many more great local players.

Before the main event got underway, there was a nineteen player mini tournament on Friday night that was won by sixteen year old Adam Pendly who defeated room owner Randy Canipe hill-hill.

Larry Nevel beat Sparky Ferrell in the finals 9-2/7-2. Larry suffered his only loss to Sparky a few rounds earlier, but Larry ended up getting his revenge in the finals.

In addition to the great event, a Nick Varner custom playing cue and break/jump combo were raffled off. George Hays was the lucky winner of these beautiful cues. Shannon Daulton wanted to thank Nick Varner for sponsoring The Great Southern Billiard Tour. He also thanked Randolph Billiards for their southern hospitality and reminded everyone that they will be back on September 8th-9th.

The next stop on the Great Southern Billiard Tour will be in Greenville, SC at The Palace on March 31st- April 1st.
