Ron Park took the long route but still got where he wanted at the SE Open 9-Ball Tour event at The Pool Room in Marietta, GA this weekend.
Park drew tour director Tommy Kennedy in the first round, and found himself quickly on the one-loss side. That would be his only loss however, as he came through the one-loss side to face David Rowell in the finals.
Rowell looked like he would end Park's run in the finals, as he climbed out to a 9-3 early lead in the race to 13 match. Rowell however, would be unable to close out Park. Park came back to win ten of the next thirteen games to score the 13-12 victory.
Park collected $700 for the win and Rowell won $400 for second. Joe Davis and Jim Jennings filled out the top four spots. Betty Sessions and Sammy Williams were the top female and junior finishers for their second straight week.
The SE Open Tour will be at Burrkatt's Billiards in Monroe, NC next weekend.
