Tim Glass undefeated for All American Tour Win

The eleventh stop of the 2007/2008 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted at the Las Vegas Cue Club in Las Vegas, NV, on Saturday, November 10. The $500 added event drew thirty-two players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes. Tim Glass (Las Vegas, NV) ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Glass (rated a “5” on a regional handicap system used) glided past Kenny Miller [4] (Las Vegas, NV) 5-3. Earlier in the A-bracket quarterfinals, Kenny Miller dispatched Sam Smith [3] (Las Vegas, NV) 4-2, Ted Banas [5] (Las Vegas, NV) clipped Davis Toothman [5] (Las Vegas, NV) 5-4, Rick White [6] (Las Vegas, NV) outpointed Carrie Halvorson [3] (Las Vegas, NV ) 6-2, while Glass aced his match. The A-side semi-finals featured Glass outplaying Rick White 5-4, while Miller was eclipsing Banas 4-4.

In the B-side bracket Rick White stopped Davis Toothman at 5th place by a 6-4 margin, while Banas eliminated Sam Smith at the same placement 5-2. In the loser's semifinals Rick White toppled Banas, and White kept his hot hand in the B-side finals by ousting Miller in another hill match 6-3! The tourney finals between Tim Glass and Rick White was nip and tuck until Glass won the first set on the hill 5-4 to take the title!

By virtue of Kenny Miller being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-ball singles entry into the 2008 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS.
