Mika Immonen, Alex Lely and Hui-Kai Hsia all won their first round matches and moved on at the 2003 Pokerempire.com World Pool Masters being held this weekend in Egmond aan Zee, Holland.
Immonen got the day's matches underway with an 8-5 win over defending champion Ralf Souquet. He will face Alex Lely on Saturday. Lely jumped to an early lead and defeated former Snooker World Champion Steve Davis 8-3.
The final match of the day saw Hsia step in to take countryman Ching-Shun Yang's place and cruise over Niclas Bergendorff from Sweden 8-1. Hsia will face either Thorsten Hohmann or Rico Diks on Saturday.
