JPNEWT Schedules 2008 Pennsylvania State 9-Ball Championship for October 11th-12th

When a tour boasts a field as fierce as that of the J. Pechauer Custom Cues Northeast Women's 9-Ball Tour, then you open up an event to all professional players on top of it, well, in short, you have one entertaining weekend for all involved. That is just what will happen on October 11th-12th in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, at Drexeline Billiards.  Owner, Bob Maidhof, has welcomed the tour's latest stop and has made great strides to ensure that all of the women are well taken care while at his establishment.

The top ten ranked players on the tour are headed up by newest Filipino young gun and sweetheart Iris Ranola, which recently took a whopping second place finish at the WPBA 2008 U.S. Open.  Behind Ranola, there are several names that have been seen in the WPBA fields lately – 2nd Supadra Boonpasook, 3rd Morgan Steinman, 4th Tiffany Nelson; 5th/6th Zinnie Panju/My Hanh Lac (tied); 7th Emily Duddy; 8th Erica Testa; 9th Linda Shea; and 10th Candi Rego.  The points (with the exception of 1st to 2nd) are extremely close and at this point, anyone has an opportunity to move up in the ranks.

Known as the “Gateway to the WPBA” on the east coast, it is only fitting that many of the top players in the country return time and again to frequent the open events including the most recent sighting of current number two ranked WPBA player Karen Corr who snagged not only the 2007, but repeated her win at the 2008 NJ State 9-Ball Championship; 2008 Junior Nationals winner Briana Miller; and the list goes on.  So many of the uppermost ranked players on the WPBA have made their name known through this tour including Kelly Fisher, Val Finnie, Dawn Hopkins, Morgan Steinman, Caroline Pao, and Pam Treadway (Cimarelli).

So, here is YOUR chance – come take a shot at making history and adding your name to the log of champions at the 2008 Pennsylvania State 9-Ball Championship.  The event is currently offering a $2500 guaranteed added stop (includes WPBA 2009 U.S. Open qualifier slot) and the list of sponsors continue to grow.  If you or your company would like to be a part of this fantastic tournament, a program booklet is being prepared for those involved – the deadline to submit your information for the book is September 19th, but the tour welcomes you even after that date.
