ESPN Star Sports, ABS-CBN Sports to carry WTBC

Sports network giants ESPN Star Sports and ABS-CBN Sports will bring the biggest billiards tournament this year – the WPA World Ten Ball Championship – to your home screens in the Philippines.
 
ESPN Star Sports is the co-organizer of the inaugural staging of the WTBC to be held from Sept.29-Oct. 5 at the Philippine International Convention Center. It will air the games of the main event live from 3 to 7 p.m. (Manila time) and a total of 28 hours on the duration of the tournament.

ESPN Star Sports currently reaches close to 200 million homes worldwide. It has the biggest number of subscribers in India with nearly 35 million watching. In the Philippines, there are a total of 944,984 watching ESPN Star Sports.
 
ABS CBN Sports, thru its free channel Studio 23, will air the games on a delayed basis to give people who failed to watch the games live catch the matches during wee hours. From Sept.29 to Oct. 3, Studio 23 will broadcast the games from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
 
The last two days of the event will be telecasted from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.The WTBC also forged a tie up with the The Filipino Channel, bringing the games closer to our Overseas Filipino Workers around the world.
