On January 11th Skyline Billiards hosted its first monthly 9-ball event of 2009.
There was only a turnout of 16 players due to players remaining in the Joss event and some snow but they were all strong players. Players such as George "Ginky" San Souci, Eddie Vasquez, Jorge Rodriguez, WPBA's Liz Ford and Sean Morgan came out for the event.
Sean Morgan and George San Souci battled for the hot-seat with Sean coming out on top in a close hill-hill match 9-8. George San Souci now had to face Liz Ford to try to get back to the finals. This match was one sided as George 7-1 easily won.
The fnals is a true double elimination format with George needing to beat Sean twice for the win. The finals was close again but Sean took the win with a 9-7 win.
