PHOENIX, AZ (February 4, 2009) - The United States Professional Poolplayers Association (the "UPA") has firmed up dates for its 2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool event to be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in June 2009.
The $20,000 guaranteed added professional nine-ball championship event has been notorious for offering spectators an action packed week of play with nothing but the best of the best on the pool circuit taking the opportunity to battle it out for top honors. This year, the American CueSports Alliance (ACS) Nationals will be the backdrop for the event as they will play host to not only its members, but to the professionals planning to attend the World Summit of Pool event.
The player's meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 7 pm, with a pro-am/meet the pros/mixer to follow at 8 pm in the same evening. Play will kick off on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10 am and will continue through Saturday, June 6th, with just the semi-final and final play to be held on that day.
