The Bay Area Amateur Tour was at Hammerhead Billiards in Holiday, Florida on February 28th with a field of eighteen players looking for tournament gold.
The tournament came down to Leslee Davis Blaikie and Melissa Morlan for the hot-seat. The handicapped format saw Blaikie racing to seven while Morlan was only going to four. That handicap turned out to be perfect as Leslee won the hot-seat 7-3.
The loss to Blaikie only served to motivate Morlan as she defeated Niki Rasmussen on the one loss side 4-2 and then went on to double dip Blaikie in the finals.
Morlan pocketed $300 for first, while Blaikie settled for $250 in second place prize money.
Tournament staff passed on special thanks to Dan LaVoy of Hammerhead's and their sponsors Tiger Products, Sterling Gaming, Lucasi and Stroke it Wear.
